Dependable, maintenance-free operation and safe transfer of stock, parts and scrap materials, for Industrial Equipment, Automation & Material Handling Equipment Applications.Storch Magnetic Slide Conveyors provide Industrial Automation conveying hot, cold, wet, oily and dry ferrous materials virtually anywhere trouble-free transference is required. Magnetic conveyors, with permanent and powerful ceramic magnets, chain driven under a non-moving slide plate, are ideal for small turnings, stampings and small assembly components as well as scrap such as punch-outs, trim stock and chips.Whether your need is for light duty jobs or heavy work loads, the four series of Storch conveyors are designed with all moving parts completely enclosed so there’s nothing to jam, become contaminated or wear. And, no external moving parts means these conveyors are safe for employees. | ![]() |
Magnetic slide conveyors from Storch can be configured with perforated side guides, auxiliary collection tanks and vertical rises to efficiently and economically separate parts or scrap from oils and coolant. This results in simpler coolant reclamation with less wear and tear on filtering equipment and machinery. Plus, dryer chips means more value and less danger to the environment.
A far ranging list of options and 30 Benefits make Storch Magnetic Slide Conveyors simple to integrate into existing systems or as specified for new installations. Standardized component design and modular construction allow maximum flexibility and adaptability for custom application requirements while minimizing lead times.

Everything you’ll need to make your Material Handling, Automation and Industrial applications as efficient as possible.
Whether your need is to convey heavy parts, flat oily cutouts, small screws or curled chips, Storch Magnetic Slide Conveyors can be equipped for efficient operation under the toughest conditions.
Our list of options includes a wide array of slider plate materials, all fabricated from #300 Series stainless steel. Depending upon the application, slider plates will range from 16 gauge for light duty chip handling to 7 gauge for heavy service parts handling. In addition, a textured surface plate is available (in 16, 14 and 12 gauge thicknesses) which not only provides added strength but also eliminates the oil-film cohesion of flat stampings. We also offer a combination of the two surfaces and a removable, replaceable impact sheet for the input area of the conveyor, to increase the life of the base slider plate.
Motor controls range from simple manual on/off single phase switches to 460 volt 3 phase fused magnetic motor starters plus controls for variable speed conveyors.
Drive Mounting Options

![]() |
Standard shaft mounted drive arrangements are shown. Optional top mounted drive with chain drive and safety clutch can be provided. Conveyors that require a motor 1 HP and larger will be provided with top mounted gear motor, roller chain, and safety clutch.
Standard Conveyor Leg Supports
|
![]() |
Standard Leg Supports are height adjustable and removable. Casters are optional for easy moves. Standard finish is an enamel paint with options for customer-specified finishes. A reverse flow hopper for the input area of conveyors is available. It aids in effective removal of most chips and ferrous contaminant from the coolant, increasing useful life of the liquid and saving wear and tear on pumps and machine ways.

Load capacities assume the following: Standard 12″ magnet centers.
Cast iron particles no smaller than 1/16″. Steel chips are thumbnail size to
1“ curls. Steel stampings are #16 gauge x 3/4 dia. slugs.
One of thousands of conveyors in service year after year conveying either parts or scrap without the maintenance costs associated with hinges jamming or belts tearing.

Capacities based on #7 gauge x 2” x 6” steel
The load capacity charts provide a general view of conveyor capacities and are to be used as a guideline only. Consult Storch Engineering if you are applying a magnetic conveyor to conditions other than those listed. When sizing a magnetic conveyor, the important criterion is how much of a load will one magnet handle. When this is known, the hourly or daily capacity is a simple calculation. When handling irregular shapes and sizes, it is sometimes necessary to submit samples to Storch for evaluation prior to manufacture.
